This is our 1st DIY skincare treatment post.
Hope you enjoy and find it useful, if you do try it out, please comment and let us know how it worked for you :).

So let’s get started!

This 1 is a Yogurt and Lemon facial mask!
Its super easy and inexpensive and you probably have the ingredients in your fridge.

You’ll need: A Tablespoon of plain unsweetened yogurt
And a few drops of lemon juice

Exactly! So easy!

This mask is good for ALL skin types, ESPECIALLY oily, acne-prone skin.

I’ll just mention a few facts as to why and how this mask will help your skin.

Yogurt contains zinc, lactic acid, calcium and B- vitamins.
Zinc has anti-inflammatory properties that help with acne and pimples.
It will also help stabilise sebum/oil production,  which will help control breakouts as well.
The main property of yogurt, that makes it so good for skin, Lactic acid.
It will smoothen your skin, gently exfoliate it and also keep skin moisturised.

Whilst lemons are packed with vitamins, it can be too harsh for some peoples skin.
***(apply some lemon a small area on your face and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing off. Slight tingling is normal, but if your skin has a bad reaction, avoid using the lemon)

Lemon juice contains citric acid, which is a natural exfoliant and acts as a mild “skin peel”
It has anti-bacterial properties which will help reduce and clear acne breakouts.
Lemon juice is also a natural bleach. It will lighten scars and pigmentation on the skin (only use at night and wear a good sunscreen during the day)

This mask will smoothen and brighten your complexion and gradually fade scars.
Some other benefits include
•lightens skin
•minimises pores
•minimises and prevents breakouts

Just mix the 2 ingredients in a small bowl.
Splash your face with some warm/hot water and pat dry.
Then aly a thin layer of the mask using a clean foundation brush or your fingers.
Rinse off after 15-20 minutes using warm water and then lastly splash your face with cold water.
Pat dry.
You’ll instantly notice a difference in your skin
(Can be used daily or 2-3 times a week if you have sensitive skin)

Comment if you’ve tried it or have any questions 🙂

Much love, F
