Avon – Ideal Flawless Concealer

Avon released this concealer in June, part of their Ideal Flawless range and of course I had to get it!

I wasn’t sure on what to expect. To be honest, I’ve never actually used a cream concealer before. And I always thought they would be too dry for my skin.
This concealer is the exact opposite,  it’s super light weight but still offers good coverage.

I got the shade fair, which is extremely pale! I use it more to highlight my face and to brighten the under eye area. It’s grat because the undertone is quite neutral, so its not pink or yellow.

I experienced no creasing or settling into fine lines, it wasn’t drying or cakey, unlike a lot of other concealers I’ve tried.

It’s just amazing. I’d like to try the medium shade maybe it will be a closer match to my skintone and I can use it as a concealer rather than highlighter.

♡ Morphe M439 Brush ♡

I bought this on a whim. I’ve seen YouTubers rave about it but when I got it I wasn’t super excited or anything, I had initially wanted the G6 brush from their Gunmetal collection but that was out of stock at the time I ordered and I couldn’t wait any longer for it to be restocked, so got this M439 for the sake of getting a buffing brush.

After watching a recent video of my all time favourite YouTuber Jaclyn Hill, I decided to give it a try again and see what the hype was about.

And OMG this brush is amazing! None of my other kabuki/buffing brushes can compare.
It’s so insanely dense and fluffy. It’s also quite large, larger than your standard kabuki brush and buffs foundation into your skin like a dream!
And because of its size, it’s a lot faster to blend everything in.

♡ Essence How to Make Brows WOW ♡

We received this in a press drop in May and I haven’t had a chance to use it that much before last month. I’ve seen other bloggers rave about it and so I hopped on the bandwagon and gave it a try.

1st off, I love the packaging! Trending on the lines of Benefit and The Balm Cosmetics.
It’s a sturdy cardboard box and closes magnetically.

Inside has 3 brow powder shades, a deep blonde, medium brown and dark brown, and a highlight shade to use on the brow bone.
They are quite ashy so they won’t make your brows look muddy.
It also includes an applicator with an angled brush on 1 side and a foam tip on the other, and a little tweezer.
Besides the bulkiness of the box, I’d say its perfect for travel.

I only use the darkest shade, works really well to fill in my brows and it lasts pretty much the whole day. So no need for touch ups.
I just wish it included a brow wax in the kit.
Other than that, it’s 👌

Look how puurrrdy it is 😍

♡ Tea Tree oil ♡

This has been my skins livesaver!
I did a post on my own DIY Toner, which I’ve been using religiously all of June, I also use tea tree oil as a spot treatment.
I noticed my pimples disappear faster and scars don’t stick around for very long either.

It’s truly amazing!

♡ The Body Shop – Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask ♡

This has gotta be my best discovery since LiyaRy.

Everything about this is amazing. The name, consistency, the scent, the result it gives!

As the name suggests, it has a unique bouncy consistency (quite like memory foam) and you apply it as the last step in your skincare routine, before bed.
Wake up to soft, supple and glowing skin!
Definitely a staple in my skincare routine and I will repurchase forever! Thank you for making this The Body Shop!

♡ Avène Eau Thermale Tolérance Extrême Cream

We also received this is a recent press pack not long ago, and honestly, this couldn’t have come at a better time!
As the weather temps starts dropping, my skin generally starts to get drier and just looking and feeling bleagh!
Every Winter is the same story.
While my skin has been behaving for the past couple of months, the change of weather always throws it off balance.
This year was an exception!

This cream is amazing and I am heading out to buy another tube, before I run out!

It’s rich yet lightweight. Quickly absorbs into the skin and leaves no tackiness or residue.
Keeps skin hydrated all day and all night!

It has also kept my skin calm and clear, since it is non-comedogenic and contains the infamous eau thermal spring water.

Too much detail on this, will go into it on a full review post, so look out for that as well as on the TBS Bouncy Sleeping Mask 😉

XOXO Makeup a Storm

  1. I have been eyeing the Dischem Tea Tree oil for a while now. I am not sure which to pick between the one in Dischem and The Body Shop. From your love for this one I guess I can save some money and opt for the cheaper option. Thanks for sharing, xx
