It seems like we’ve only been doing favourites posts recently 😑
We have been really bad with posting for the past 2 or 3 months.
But we will try to get more content up soon. We do have quite a few posts planned, it’s just the part of typing everything and editing and stuff that we’re really slacking.
I’m gonna quickly share my favourite products for the month of November 🙂 hope you enjoy! 🙂
♡ Rimmel London – Match Perfection Foundation ♡
This has been 1 of my best buys for this month. 1stly, I got it off of Takealot.com for just R109! Can you believe that?? Just over R100 for a foundation, and an amazing 1 too!
I’ve seen that they normally retail for around R150 at the stores, so I’m glad I got it online, plus Takealot offer free courier to your door, if you order from their app.
I’ve used Takealot loads of times and I’ve never been disappointed, their service and prices are impeccable!
Coming back to the foundation, I have the shade 100 Ivory. It’s light enough and I’d say really neutral toned. I, however, made it more yellow to match me perfectly.
It’s a light to medium coverage, looks really natural, feels lightweight and wears well too. I do prefer to set it on really hot days or when I just want my makeup to last longer.
♡ MAC Studio Fix Powder ♡
So this has been my preferred powder to set my makeup recently, I have the shade NC25 i like it because it doesn’t make my skin and makeup look dry and cakey
It also adds a little more coverage to your foundation.
I’ve also used it as a powder foundation with just a little concealer in certain areas on a few occasions and I love it. A firm favourite in my collection.
♡ Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette ♡
Ok so I’m embarrassed to say that I got this like a good few months ago and up until just recently, I didn’t really use it much.
This is definitely as good as everyone makes it out to be.
I gotmine directly from the USA, I did a post about our haul on Instagram, have a look there if you wanna know more (and don’t forget to follow us 😉 @Makeupastorm)
These powders are buttery soft and smooth, blend really well, are extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way, which ultimately means this palletes will last you forever!
I use the middle yellow shade, Banana, to set concealer under my eyes, and the middle contour shade, Fawn, for contouring.
I’ve also used them as eyeshadows a lot of the time. Absolutely love the packaging, It feels so luxurious too!
Btw, you can get your hands on this palette as well as many other well known imported makeup items and brands from @muse.sa on Instagram.
♡ LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss ♡
My favourite shade is Dreamy, we will be doing a review on these soon along with swatches of the shades we do have.
I’m sure everyone has been raving about these. They are super inexpensive and high quality. They last a really long time. They feel comfortable on the lips, I do, however, always use lipbalm to sort of prime my lips so its not so dry.
But yeah, super pigmented and justa really awesome liquid lipstick. Available at Dischem stores nationwide.
♡ LA Girl Lipliners and Glide Gel Eyeliner ♡
LA girl is 1 of my favourite brands, their items are super awesome and inexpensive. These lipliners and eyeliners are just as awesome.
They have a huge range of colours to choose from, they are soft and pigmented and apply smoothly, they wear well and last long on the lips. I mostly use them as a base for my lipsticks, just to prevent bleedimg of the colours and make them last longer.
They work well on their own too.
As for the eyeliners, this specific 1 os my favourite and I’ve been wearing it alot recently. It’s a gorgeous green with a gold reflect.
Again, soft and applies smoothly, long lasting and pigmented.
I’ve never come across an eyeliner this beautiful. I did an eye makeup look using this and got compliments on it from strangers, I will post some picks up on instagram soon 😉 I am inlove with it myself 😍
The lipliner shades I have are in Mauve and Cherry and the eyeliner is in Limelight.
♡ NYX Powder Blush in Pinched ♡
I think I’ve feautured this in a monthly favourites before and in my favourite blushes post. But hey, that’s how much I love it.
Its a pinky peachy mauve blush, which has a fine gold shimmer. Perfect for days u want a glow but don’t wanna apply highlighter.
♡ ELF Makeup Mist & Set ♡
A makeup setting spray infused with Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C and E.
It sets your makeup without mattifying or making your makeup more dewy.
It settles any powdery-ness and just diffuses all your makeup together to melt into your skin.
The only thing I don’t like about it is the scent. It has an offensive smell but it seems to have faded a bit from the time I got it, up until now.
But it doesn’t linger on after it settles so it doesn’t bother me at all.
I alternated between this amd my Avon Makeup Setting Spray. Love them both
That’s all for my favourites.
Let us know what you’ve been loving this month and if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think of them 🙂
Hope you guys have an amazing holiday and enjoy the destive season, for all those celebrating. 🎉
Love F ♡
